Help: Z6 TD42U dist Question
First- I've been using search and looking for this answer and haven't found anything.
I have a 89 HF that I'm putting a D16z6 with a P28ecu (OBDO- OBD1 ).
I've got a question on the distributor that I got with my engine. It's a TD42U and I've found that the TD42U is the correct dist. for the conversion.
My Dist. has TD42U stamped on it but the connector is a Single 9-wire connector. Everything I've found shows this dist. has 2 connectors. I did also see some pics of a new TD42U for sale from a parts house that looked like it had the same single connector as I have but it referenced different engines.
So Question: I need to know what adapter I need (the OBDO- OBD1 adapters from Rywire didn't look correct) or what rewiring is needed since all the information I've found shows 2 connectors on the TD42U distributor.

Re: Help: Z6 TD42U dist Question
It looks like I have a OBD2 connector but the Dist. body is a TD42U which as I understand is an OBD1.
Does the TD42U come in OBD1 and OBD2 versions or do I have a distributor that someone converted to OBD2 using OBD1 (TD42U housing) and then maybe D16y7 dist. (OBD2) internals.
In either case it does look like I have an OBD2 dist. even though the housing seemed to be an OBD1 distributor. I have found all of the dist. pinouts for OBD0 _ OBD1_OBD2 Boomslang now I can make OBD0 to OBD2 adapter harness

Tim-thanks for the push in the right direction, I'm still getting used to Honda's
