It definitely wouldn't hurt at all.

has anyone done this? What needs to be done to get water to the oil cooler on an LS block?

In order to run the GS-R/ITR oil cooler on a LS/CR-V block you will need to have the following parts:

-GS-R/ITR oil cooler 'sandwich' adapter
-GS-R/ITR oil cooler 'sandwich' bolt that has the threads for the oil filter
-both coolant lines
-GS-R/ITR coolant rail on back of bock
-GS-R/ITR coolant spout going into the back of the block*

* You will need to drill a hole and tap some threads for the spout to go on the block. There is a blank spot on the LS/CR-V blocks where you can drill this hole. I am pretty sure the thread is a 16 X 1.5. Do not quote me on this I have the spout and have looked at the threads and have determined it is a 1.5 pitch thread. I just need to determine the diameter.

I will determine all the necessary information on the coolant spout thread this week. I will share this info as soon as I get it.

I have the top two or three of Kenji's four requirements. Drop me and email if you want them.
