ENDYN... hype or hot?
i was looking at the ENDYN site today, deciding on who i want to do the head work on my car. now i am very impressed with the ammount of info they post, and the reviews i have heard on their pistons.
just wondering if its like Mugen (too much hype for the $$) or is it really worth it?
BTW, this is for an H22a4.

You probably won't meet another person in your lifetime that has a better understanding of combustion engines than Larry from Endyn. Dispite all the rumors and stories running around, they do a top-knotch job.

hhhmmm..... never heard any of the rumors... lets try to keep true RUMORS out of this and just have feedback. no "oh my friend said bla bla bla"

I would question him but then I started to read more into what he had to say. Most, not all, that started rumors about him are no longer in business. Reading into what he has to say is simply amazing. Even the top head porters in the county give him respect like RLZ and HEAD here on HT. He has never done any work for me but the guy knows what he is talking about.

I suggest you go on his forum and talk to him about engines then. Unless:
A) You've talked to him extensively about engine dynamics
B) Visited his web board and witnessed his knowledge
C) Talked to people that work with him on a daily basis
You couldn't possibly know what he's capable of. Only simple minded fools call him "full of ****".

LOL. Who told you that? Wiesco produces the pistons, Endyn does all the mathematics and calculations and sends them to Wiesco.

ok, so can you get the same exact piston from weisco? or are they just the ones that make them and then send them all to endyn?

Re: ENDYN... hype or hot? (shakes)
The are not the same pistons. Wiesco manufactuers them. Each tuner supplies the specs to Wiesco, so they are in fact different than off-the-shelf Wiesco's.

Re: ENDYN... hype or hot? (Unsung EM1)
It's called sarcasm. Besides don't give it to the guys who have doubts. Let them believe that Endyn is all hype. It'll give him less work, and maybe he won't go back "underground". Oh and BTW, do a search for me on his forums.

Re: ENDYN... hype or hot? (FURACERMAN)
Didn't catch the sarcasm. I was once an endyn disbeliever at one time, so I know where people can come from... Until... you see the hard proof that he is above anyones head when it comes to combustion engines.

The guys in it for the money. I don't blame him, but I wouldn't pay that kind of money unless I had dough to blow (which I and most people don't). I might buy some piston but I'd never get machine work done there. He does do good work but its not worth the price when I can do it instead of him.

Larry does incredible headwork ... no hype there, I have dyno charts to prove that the Endyn products work, check out http://www.gbrtuning.com for some charts.

I don't see any back to back dyno charts on your site.

Re: ENDYN... hype or hot? (Daemione)
his work isnt the best but it is good, hes just full of crap if you ask me. I much rather go to alaniz or portflow even R&D, i have used larrys stuff and a oil pump that he moded for me locked a lude motor. So i rather go with those who can actually back their product and help you out if they F up. Larry will blow you off over and over again, hes only nice untill the money from your pocket slows down, and if he owes you money then forget it hes going to hate you

from the pictures, he does amazing work
from the info, he has great theories and ideas
from the others, i've not seen much difference in customer's outputs.
would i go endyn? i used to stand by their product, now...i'm not so sure. most likely though, yeah.
i do have doubts though.
