Default ECU Problem Or Not? Help!

1998 Honda Civic Si coupe(Canadian Edition)
d16y8 motor

Problem: bad misfire above 3600 rpm engine acts like a gm engine rpm limiter. Check Engine Light on CODE P0335 (Crankshaft Position Sensor).

The dealer replaced distibutor which has CKP in it and said that was not the problem, then replaced ecu, said that fixed problem I picked up car and drove 20km to only find same problem again.

Dealer than refused any further warranty service and told me to pick up my car.

I have since:

1. Removed Tach connection for remote starter.

2. Removed Fuel kill on fuel pump wire under rear seat.

3. removed and visually inspected ecu circuit board

4. removed aftermarket Crane Cams ignition coil and replaced it with stock ignition coil

5. replaced ignition wires and distributor cap with stock items

6. replaced ecu and cleared code

7. started engine noticed less of igniton breakdown, but at a very crisp 3600 rpm drop out occurrs. and check engine light came on 1sec after starting same code p0335

8. Cleared code and started again code reoccurred.

9. replaced spark plugs no significant change

10. Spoke to mechanic at local shop he suggested changing igniter, I did no solution.

11. unplugged VTEC soleniod to see if vtec coming on prematurely, no fix

any solutions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks Sean Kontkanen
