distributor.. vtec one matter?
we just installed a JDM D15b vtec distributor from hmotorsonline in a vx hatchback.
car wouldn't strat and it turned out to be the distributor is bad. i got the coil and ignitor from an obd2 distributor and put them in the obd1 distributor, but that still didn't work.
question: can i use a non vtec obd1 distributor? if i'm correct, i'm guessing it would start the car, not all the whole will line up and it will more than likely be off ignition timing.. is that right?

no the VX is vtec-e you used an obd1 vtec dizzy thats why it wouldnt start....cant use obd2 coils in an obd1 dizzy and expect it to wrok. and the nonvtec dizzy will not start it.......
go find a VTEC-E dizzy and you're done

we put a non vtec dizzy in the car and it started it.
i got a z6 distributor and started the car, but it doesn't run right. would the car being a vx with a z6 distributor have anything to do with it? the car still has the vx ecu.

i know they are different, but you think it would make the car run shitty if i'm not using a z6 distributor but using a vx ecu?

do whatever you want............but it isnt going to run right until you get the right part.......................................**** if you're having this much trouble and really want to use that z6 dizzy go swap a z6 in it!
look up how vtec-e works........
then you'll see that a
non-vtec dizzy wont work and a vtec dizzy wont work only the vtec-e dizzy will work in a vtec-e equipped VX .........................
the prolems you listed ALL stem from the wrong dizzy being used....swap it back before you start driving it with the advanced igniton timing and expletive your motor up...........you'll be back here blaming me for blowing your motor
why is it so hard for you?????????
use the VX ecu and you're done!!!!!!! its simple you're ******* things up using the wrong dizzys........................................

Re: distributor.. vtec one matter? (suicide_shift)
its the vx ecu thats making it run crappy. we put a p06 ecu in the car today and it ran, no problems. put the vx ecu in and it went back to crappy.
