Default CRX carburetor tuning?

I just picked up an 87 CRX base model with the carbureted engine. The kid who had it before me said that the fuse for the alternator/carb solenoid was blown and they didn't know it, so they tuned the carburetor to run without the fuse. Once you plug the fuse back in so the alternator works, the fuel mixture is off and the engine won't idle without your foot on the gas, it just stalls out. I can adjust the fast idle screw until the engine revs to about 2k+ or adjust the throttle so it keeps the engine revved and it'll stay running. I think the mixture is just off but I don't know how to adjust it so it will idle properly at the correct speed. Also, when I shut the engine off it still kinda runs (dieseling?) until I flood it, if that helps as far as what's wrong with it.

Any help with this would be appreciated..

Thanks!
