Crank angle sensor code 4 on obd1 Hondata S300 Ecu?
I have a OBD1 P28 with Hondata S300 in a 1996 Ek coupe, obd2 to obd1 jumper harness. It is giving me a Crank angle sensor code 4 in the hondata program and will not rev past 3500rpm.
This happened when i was out tuning, it has a msd pro cap, msd blaster coil, and a Msd SCI ( sport compact ignition). Anyhow The wire from the coil to the cap started to arc and short out on the engine, the SCI unit, and the engine bay. The car lost spark because it was it was arcing out before the cap, So i black taped the wire and it and it fired right up, but now with the code 4. I tested the sensor with my multimeter and it checks out fine, the sensor is not getting any power to the plug.
Now the weird thing is, is that i plugged in the original obd2 ecu, fired right up and revved past 3500 with ease. But the car has 750cc injectors, and a 3 bar map sensor - and it ran with the stock ecu????
I read that the obd1 ecu should not even throw a code 4 because obd1 does not even have that sensor, so how does it know about it?
Im confused...

nah the cyp sensor is located in the distributor on obd1 cars so it does have a cyp senor it can be the ecu is faulty also are you using iridium non resistor spark plugs cause it interferse with the s300 if not
