coolant leak from back of the block.. somewhere.. help
car: 91 civic ex
motor: a6 block/y7 head and hg
just put it together tonight finally!! after filling with coolant for a minute i hear a leak. i get underneath and i see that it is dripping on the backside of the motor almost towards the right, but not as far as the water pump..
any ideas? i searched and found that it could be the o rings for the water tube in the back of the block. anyone else have this prob? where else may it be coming from? def not my water pump.
i am going to take my intake manifold off tomorrow and pour some more coolant into her to try and find the leak. but if this has happened to anyone give me a heads up please! thanks

Re: (1SlowB16EF)
well i am going to do that tomorrow morning when i have light. i ran out of light this evening. i am assuming that it is either the o rings on the water pipe, sensor for the fan or one of the hoses that goes to the pipe.
it is definately not the lines to the manifold b/c that was never out of the car. however i will double check them anyways.
thanks

water pump and gasket fixed the leak.
now i just need to get a alternator belt to try and keep the car running. ran for like 15 minutes and then i shut it off. when i went to start it again it wouldn't start. i guess the belt will go on tomrrow.
