Catalytic Converter problems
Hi I just got back from getting my car smogged and it failed! The guy told he that there was something wrong with my catalytic converter. I plan on getting a new one. I have a b18b1 swap on a 2000 ek. I was looking at some off the magnaflows which one do I get, the one that is for my car a civic 1.6L cata or will I get a 1.8L cat that is from an integra that is appropriated for the b18b.

Re: Catalytic Converter problems
before replacing your cat make sure that this is realy your problem. Do yoy have an OBD code?
use a special instrument to mesure exhaust gas pressure (it is positionned at o2 sensor's place)
high pressure must be a sign of damaged cat or damage exhaust box.

DO IT ON ALL FOURS
Re: Catalytic Converter problems
An easier way to see if it is working is to use an infrared temp gun and make sure the outlet is hotter then the inlet or at worst the same temperature. If it is colder at the outlet you have a bad catalytic converter.
