Check the starter, make sure you hooked up the starter wire.

did you open or undo the clutch lines at all?
did you verify the the push rod is pushing the fork mechanism, and hasn't shot out and gotten lost?

did you connect the ground strap to the tranny?

so how can you not disconnect the hydro lines and change the clutch.... It makes it so much harder.. bleed the lines definietly. then if the clutch doesn't engage or dis engage completely your clutch slave cylinder isn't pushing the fork in correctly. now this sucks(its happened to me before) now you have to take the tranny back off disconnect the fluid ines for the slave cylinder. remove starter. Make sure the clip is securing around the head of the rod that the fork sits on. push the fork in and out acting as the slave cylinder would. if it moves properly put the tranny back on and you'll be set. remember to re bleed the lines best thing to do i get a hose that just fits on the nipple and long enough so you can have the bottle of dot3 on the ground, fill up resovour and pump clutch till lines complete close nipple up pump some more should stiffen up dramatically if doesn't then you re bleed. Good luck this is all from experience trust me
