Camshaft Degreeing
I just got a set of Skunk2 Stage 2 cams and my mechanic says due to the specs, it'll take him a full day to 'degree' the engine and that I have to pull it out (the engine) and take it to him.
Does this make sense timewise? What is 'degreeing'?

Re: Camshaft Degreeing (KoRE)
cam installs take at most a couple hours with hand tools, as far as degreeing the cams, there is a method of doing that for domestic v style engines. the only way to properly degree an over head dual cam is go to the dyno and see where you make and loose power. i think he is trying to rip you off or he just doesnt know what he is talking about.
