Default B20b swap for 2200 help

So I blew my z6 and was trying to get a replacement motor but descided might as well go for a little more power, this shop quoted me @2200 for installed b20b and ls tranny ecu and intake things of that sort included.
I'm actually paying 2700 after a lsd tranny new seals and power steering ac brackets
My main question is am I paying too much ??

and second question is is the b20b even worth the swap if I end up getting the low compression motor 8.8-1 then it's only got 128 hp that's less than the d15b only thing it has on the D is 134/lbs of torque.

From what I can tell if I got a head that says p75 then it's the low compression but if the head says pr8 it's high compression(9.2)

Second option would be she'll out another 1000 for a h series or f20b swap installed for 3200.

I just bought the 93 civic Si hatchback for 2700 and the motor blew and I also have a 95 dx hatch back that the motor is blown on. So I'm reality I could do both but finances go for one at a time. Rent is due at the first as everyone knows

Doesn't sound bad but I'd definitely want the higher compression B20. I believe if you get one with a knock Sensor it's the higher compression one.

Yeti where do you live? $2700 for a B20 swap is kind of high if you're anywhere near California (as we are the land of JDM). However I understand you're paying for a shop to install your motor, thus the reason for the markup.

that yellow/red wire is oil pressure sensor. the empty threaded hole above there would be where the knock sensor goes.

my opinion is that $2200 installed at a shop with warranty is a fair deal, though I am not as sure about the extra $500 for the lsd tranny, but thats a lot of what the local market has them at I guess. Plus it seems everything costs more in that state...

I am assuming they are not converting to obd2 though which afaik they would need to do to get you past emissions...

I called referee they said it a grey area for smog, as long as you have the emissions it came with and are obd2 you should be able to pass they said even though it's a truck motor in a light vehicle.
