B18C1 - rattle noise from valvetrain, sticky rocker arms HELP!
Due to a bad valve adjustment (clearances set for an LS motor on a B18C1) the mid rocker arms are getting stuck when pushed down and then snapping back up.
I figured this is what was causing the loud rattle noise coming from the valvetrain. It started off as a random noise at idle then began to occur under load at certain RPMs. Before I took the valve cover off it was happening anytime the engine reved.
My question is what do I need to replace to fix this problem?
Are the LMAs responsible for this or do I need to change the rocker arms as well?
Any input is appreciated. Thanks
