b18c valve adjustment... tdc=? go by cams or crank
doing a valve adjustment for the first time. setting cylinder 1 to tdc. the mark on the crank and the mark on the cams don't line up perfectly. the cams are both pointed in the same direction but when the cams are lined up to tdc the crank isn't... and visa-versa. should I go by the marks on the cam or the crank?

OMG that is such a small amount, don't fricken worry about it, use either. Although, you won't be able to use the crank timing mark for two of the cylinders, so pretty much narrows down your options.

Re: b18c valve adjustment... tdc=? go by cams or crank (MightyMouseTech)
thanks for the input. I started thinking about it and went by the cams (not being able to use the crank mark for the other cylinders as noted by mightymouse).
just in case anyone searches this, wherever you read "slight drag" replace with "(low end of adjustment scale) fits with some resistance (high end of adjustment scale) doesn't fit"
intake-.006-.007
exhaust-.007-.008
order is 1-3-4-2

turned out fine though, nice and quiet. Thanks again
