Default AEM Fuel Rail: Help

Not sure if this is right area to post this:

Ok guys, i got myself an AEM fuel rail the other day. And no, it wasn't because of the "bling-bling," it was because my OEM one busted on me. The interior of the oem has these black "needles" that go into the injectors. One of them bent, thus, it started to literally spray fuel onto my header and my block.
So, i found this guy locally that had one for $80 and was in good condition.

Here's my dilemma.
I've been going around searching like crazy, and i know install is "easy," however, the hose that runs from the tip of the fuel rail (oem) to the fuel filter (near the firewall) doesn't hook up to the AEM fuel rail.
Does that mean that it will not be necessary to hook this up?
I'm lost...

Ok, let me try to visually show what i'm talking about.

Below is an actual pic of the fuel rail i have with injectors.

Now, if you look to the very left, there is a different style screw with oval/circular top as opposed to the oem one.
When you unscrew it on the OEM, it still has the stud connected to the tip.
On the AEM one, it doesn't.
Thus, the OEM one has a long stud so you can slide in that hose that connects from the fuel rail to the fuel filter.
But on the AEM one, it doesn't.
