Acura CL 2.2 vtech no spark
Hi, I have no signal to distributor and I think crank pos sensor is dead. Before I dig out the ckp from the timing cover I wanted to run my thinking by you folks. It's a 4 wire ckp , the ohm test say infinite, open circuit. I also don't have an voltage going to this sensor when the key is on. This makes me think both the ecm and the ckp are both fried. Any thoughts? Mike

VTEC not Vtech! Anyway, do you have codes? Check all your fuses. Do you have injector pulse? Also, I do not know that infinite resistance on a crank sensor is abnormal. Mine is a 3 wire, but I have infinite resistance on mine.

Re: Acura CL 2.2 vtech no spark
Before car broke down we changed wiper bushing. When we reinstalled, the wiper arms jammed and probably pulled more amps than normal. Wipers work fine now, engine no start. Any reason this may have buggered my ignition system? We pulled Ecu and opened it. Nothing burnt inside. All ideas welcomed. Mike

Re: Acura CL 2.2 vtech no spark
I have 12 volts to injectors. I don't think they are getting a signal to open. I can hear the fuel pump run when I crank. I pulled a Spark plug and it was dry. The main relay does 3 clicks and looks ok
Does anyone know where the crank pos sensor gets its power? I have 0.21 volts on two pins on ckp but the red wire is 0 volts. I measure this with the ckp connector unplugged.

http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/ac...051515_ckp.pdf. Found this on testing ckp . My ckp seems ok. No voltage is supposed to go to it. Now I am thinking its the ecm ecu
