Default Traction bar tuning

for the guys that have traction bars how do you guys know exactly how you want it set. i know you want it tight so you can reduce the wheel hop obviously i put mine in and tightened it quite a bit i got rid of a lot of the wheel hop but still have some i still have room to tighten the bars but im wandering if you guys have any suggestions i have had mine for quite a while and im pretty pleased with the results.

I've had mine on for a while too. I assumed that they should be tightened so that they push against the control arms to preload the suspension. Am I right or should they pull against the control arms?

when you tighten them it pulls on the control arm its shortening the distance between the tow hook and control arm, i believe the bar takes the hopping and transfers it into the body

Yea, but it gets tight either way. If you make it spread out longer it gets tight as well. I could see how it might help either way as long as the bar is putting tension on the control arm but for some reason I'm thinking that pushing against the control arm is the same as the control arm already pushing against the car in a forward direction so it's like taking any slack out of the suspension. I'm thinking that wheel hop is a result of the control arm being able to move slightly in a forward direction due to rubber bushings then it reaches a limit and spings back a little causing traction to vary. Am I thinking right? I know that before I installed the traction bars and had them pushing against the control arms I had occassional wheel hop but now I never do. If I break traction the tires will spin but it's smooth, without wheel hop.
