Toe Alignment?
Hello, H-T!
Forgive me for being a noob but I'm still trying to learn as much as I can, anywhere I can.
So, when it comes to toe alignment on the front, why wouldn't someone fix the adjustment nut to make it permanent?
Wouldn't that stop it from coming back out of alignment? Like, weld the nut and both inner and outer tie rods all together.
Only thing I could see wrong with this is that if you need to replace only inner or outer then you'd have to replace both due to permanent attachment.
Anyone wanna shed some light for me on why it isn't done like this?

Re: Toe Alignment?
Alignments don't only go out because of loosening. ...And tie rods certainly don't slip once they're tight.
The reason for having adjustable tie rods is to compensate for bent/worn components, bushing wear, and the normal deformation and stretching of components (sagging springs, used knuckles, etc), and for manufacturing tolerance differences of potential new components.
don't weld any adjusters.
