Default brakes and funny noises

I have a simple question, when I apply my brakes which I've just changed, I hear an annoying sound like metal rubbing against metal. What could it possibly be?

Did you bed the new pads correctly to the rotors?

Condition of the rotors? Same pad compound as before, or new?

they're new pads... and i had a very experience mech. replace the pads... so i assume that it was bedded correctly. But cant there be any other possible faults to cause this?

What Kind of pads did you use ? were they cheap or expensive ? Some times cheaper pads will always have increased pad noise. Most shops will waranty the pads if you tell them whats going on atleast I would. Is there any vibration or just noise ?

A mechanic won't bed the pads for you (except maybe a truly hardcore race mechanic). You need to do that on the first drive after install.

So, new pads, old rotors, and probably didn't get them turned? Try performing a proper bedding procedure and see if that corrects the noise. If that doesn't work, try deglazing the rotors with sandpaper and then re-bed them.
