What's makes a full bodied coilover better than a Koni/GC combo? Nothing. You can have a full bodied coilover and it still be crap. Where do you people get this stuff from?

Nothing makes either better than the other in terms of a design standpoint.
Koni/GC and AMR are the only ones out there offering lifetime warranties. At similar price ranges and the level of custom-ability from either why would anyone choose anything else?

The only difference with a "full bodied" coil-over is that sleeve is threaded onto the body or the sleeve is welded in during production. That's it.

My point was...why do you have this inherent belief that somehow a "full-bodied coilover" is somehow a superior product than say a Koni & Ground Control combo. It was just as valid a point as the question you asked or you wouldn't have felt the need to ask it. The same point I was trying to make was asked in question form in post #14. Does he need to stop posting as well?

i'll throw in another company. AST. another company that has good rep. they bought Moton, and hopefully they will cross design some shock/spring combos.
but if not, like the group, koni/gc

Re: suspension for an eg hatch
I just put skunk2 sport shocks on my eg hatch with older skunk2 coils and they are awesome. nice stiff ride with no bounces. If ur on a budget do this set up. Find some used coils but i would get new shocks. I paid $270 for the shocks and you can prob find coils for around $100 or $150.

If skunk2 sport shocks are $270 why wouldn't you buy koni SRT. which are $300 and have a lifetime warranty? Or spend another $100 and get koni sports which have a lifetime warranty, and can handle much stiffer rates for anyone who might get into casual autocross?
Not to mention both are rebuild-able to stiffer valving. I'm not sure if you can re-valve skunk2 shocks.
