Yes, because companies sell disintegrating shocks.

Please refer me to more than 1 event where Raceland coilovers (during daily driving mind you, not racing) have hurt/costed someone their life. I'll be waiting right here.

Better yet, show me a failure of a Raceland coilover that HAS NOT happened to a more reputable brand like Bilstein or H&R.

^ You should expect great from a $300 coilover setup.

I didn't say it happened with riceland shocks but think about sub quality materials what you're trusting your life with. I could care less if you want to hurt yourself but I hope those things don't crap out and you hurt someone else.

i don't understand why you would pay $250 $300 dollars on cheap racelands when you can get Progress technology for around $500 can you please explain this to me ???

If this is your idea of a good coilover, then just get flipping racelands.

Honestly everyone here makes a good argument but you have to keep in mind how long you will keep this car, how far do you want to take this project, how much your budget is, and what YOU want from the car as far as functional track/street driving or if your just daily driving the car. All this should come into affect. I had Koni str's with cut springs and ebay coilover sleeves and it rode like ****. I am also a delivery driver so I had to change out my suspension and take into account what would best fit my budget and my driving style.

truthfully, no they aren't. They will suit a slammed daily driver decently, and that is about it.

If that is your plan then just get the FF1, and leave it at the that. Don't buy the function form type 2. Why? becuase you can get Koni/gc for less and be leaps and bounds ahead of the the FF setup.

Like mentioned above the F&Fs will get you low but I have heard questionable things about their quality. IIRC the Koni/GC can get you pretty low and being able to pick your own spring rates affordably is pretty nice since you will need a pretty stiff spring to be able to be slammed.

If you're looking for affordability on a non crappy coilover, just get these from Progress, using the 350/500 rates.

http://progressauto.com/products/sfI.../productID/595

I'd trust them a lot more than Raceland or FNF on the track or autocross, in fact I used to have a set on my RSX.

So this same idiot kid that wouldn't believe me that the reason his tires were wearing is because of the toe dragging the tires as he claimed it's because he has half a degree of negative camber... told me that I was stupid for buying Ground Controls for my Koni's because I could have almost bought Raceland Coilovers for the price of my Ground Controls and that they would have been way better. Again I laughed in his face and said "never in my life would I put that cheap **** on anything I owned".
