Default lowering springs or coilovers

Im on a budget, but i was wondering what is good to buy?, far as what brand of lowering springs are good vs coilovers. I have a 98 civic dx and i want to lower it. but i just need help on what to choose and whats better for a beginner. what inch is good for lowering a ej8 coupe? also If i do get lowering spring could i used the OEM strut? and just swap out the spring for the aftermarket spring?

I use kyb agx shocks, they're affordable and work great with lowering springs. I've heard tein springs are good, not sure what brand mine are. You're definitely gonna want new shocks that are built for lowering, makes a huge difference on handling and oem shocks will wear out fast with that abuse.

How do you know what is affordable for the OP? He still hasn't come back and stated a budget. Don't make assumptions.

Sorry for helping, but I don't know of any shocks cheaper than them that are made for lowering, kinda figured that was affordable. lol I need to get to 5 posts somehow to get off this trial version.

I don't know how anyone can "help" with a bunch of questions this vague. You cannot really give any kind of advice until the OP at least coughs up a budget.
