97-01 CRV FRONT 5 LUG HUBS ON EK SEDAN
OK so wattup honda-tech.
in the past i asked newbie questions about RT-4WD swaps from 1st gen crv into 96-00 ek sedan.
I recently completed my RT-4wd swap and motor/transmission/driveshaft/rear differential/rear axles/and trailing arms are ALL installed correctly. this i am very proud of and am making plans for the near future on suspension tuning etc,
but for now before i even lower the car onto all 4 it needs to be 5 lug all around, with the same wheels tires etc.
the rear is now obviously 5x114 off the CRV - duh.
now for the front, im getting mixxed information on utilizing the complete CRV front knuckles on my EK sedan with the CRV transmission of course and then also opt to use the 36 mm axle outers with the original crv hub etc.
DOES ANYBODY HAVE REAL KNOWLEDGE ON USING THIS 97-01 FRONT KNUCKLE ON 96-00 CIVIC. ?
-WHICH LOWER BALL JOINT?
-WHICH TIE RODS?
-WHOICH UPPER BALL JOINT?
-BRAKE LINES?
-ABS CONNECTORS (CANADIAN MODEL EK)
-TRACK WIDTH MAINTAINED OR CHANGES?
ANY ADVICE OR THOUGHTS ON THIS TOPIC WILL ALL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
IM JUST WONDERING BECAUSE IM HAVING TROUBLE HUNTING DOWN THE FRONT KNUCKLES AND BEFORE I GET THEM AND HAVE TROUBLE FITTING THEM IM JUST WONDERING IF ANYBODY ELSE HAS DONE THIS
AFTER IM 5 LUG ALL AROUND I WILL POST NUMEROUS PICS ON THE SWAP AND ALSO GIVE INSIGHT ON THE SWAP AND WHAT ALL IS INVOLVED IN HANGING THE REAR AND TRAILING ARMS ETC.
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH AND HAPPY HONDA DAYS AND MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!!

Re: 97-01 CRV FRONT 5 LUG HUBS ON EK SEDAN
crv front knuckles should fit just right, i had them before in a k-swapped ek hatch, since they are 36mm i didnt have to custom rig axles to work, and if the crv has abs then you shouldnt have an issue, jdm itr knuckles would also work but god knows if you can find them seperate... either way i hope i helped sum, good luck and that build sounds awesome, do you have a build thread with pics?? would love to check it out
