A lot of times after replacing a master cylinder or brake booster, the rod on the booster has to be adjusted to allow enough travel to open the pressure release port and allow the brakes to return to normal position. This port can also be clogged by debris over time.

Or in my case replacing brake switch plug in the pedal with the flattest bolt I could find...not flat enough lol. The brake switch is what broke the plug so it needed adjusted anyway. I just adjusted the switch back instead of MC plunger.

Does anyone knows what the cause of this....Thanks!
I've been going through everything brake related on my 02 honda accord which had the same problem. Well ten minutes ago I found the solution. In the brake booster vacuum line, there is a check valve. I was barely able to push air through it. So check it out. There is a hardened, expanded area about an inch long. That is where I found my valve. Good luck
