Ebay LCA's + Energy Bushings
Now let's not all attack me here for bringing up an idea, but I was wondering if using energy suspension bushings in some cheap ebay lca's be okay for daily driving? I know quality matters, and that function 7's are the way to go, but I'm switching all my bushings and was wondering if this would be okay. I'm just gunna ditch the crappy ebay bushings. As far as the actual arm, function 7's are made from 7075 aluminum. Typical ebay ones are T-6061. Can anyone contribute towards comparing the two?

Ah, I wondered if they used the same size bushing. Okay, this was just hypothetical, I have a fear of ebay parts lol

One of them had a broken bolt stuck in them, but it's okay, I managed to get it out now. And yeah, I would be too. Stock > ebay lol

Fake eBay upper/lower control arms scare me, bending or snapping on the 101 freeway spinning out and having an 18wheeler flatten me and my DC would suck...

Re: Ebay LCA's + Energy Bushings
The bolt connecting the shock to the LCA snapped off, but I got it off. Now I'm putting in my new energy suspension bushings into my DC2 LCA's. The car though is a 92 EG, I have DC2 LCA's because I needed them a while back, and they fit.
@j13 That sounds scary... Yeah, I'm sticking to my stock lca's with brand new polyurethane bushings.

Hate to thread dig, but i wanted to post here and see if i get any replies instead of starting a new thread.
I've already got the full energy suspension master bushing kit for my 94 eg hatch vx. Thinking about getting the eibach sportline kit with the sway bars and everything but i will need control arms with the attachments for the sway bar links.
engine is stock 92hp d15z1 and vehicle will not see any track or race time. main goal of this build is drive-ability and efficiency. purpose of the sway bars is to improve handling and reduce braking on turns.
weight is a bit of a factor in my build, but i don't want to sacrifice quality.
My quesion is, which control arms should i get for this setup? I will be considering an entire setup as well that will allow alignment to be set perfectly with the drop from the eibach sportline kit.
there's a couple kits on amazon but it looks like the energy suspension bushings will more than likely not fit in the aftermarket control arms. if there is an aftermarket control arm that has factory size bushings, please feel free to point me in that direction. i wouldn't mind getting some arms that have cheap bushings that can be swapped with the energy suspension flavor.

X2, well mostly.
Try to find a set of Del Sol vtec lower arms. Same design as the Integra arms, but they retain the stock civic sized bushings so you'll be able to use the ones in your kit. The integra arms am have larger bushings, so if you use then you'll have to source a set of those... But the Sol arms may be hard enough to find used that the latter option ends up costing less anyway.

Re: Ebay LCA's + Energy Bushings
is that the only difference in the bushing kits from people like ES or hardrace?
the reason ask is I have a 93 si with integra lca in the rear with the oem sway bar from the tegs.

Those aluminum arms are so pretty though i guess there's always function7 but thats just way beyond my $ for this build and probably a bit more firm of bushings than i'm looking for. i guess they could always be swapped though.

Pretty sure, but don't quote me on that. Most of the kits don't come with the sway bar provisions either, you'll have to get that stuff separately.
