Crx Road Race/Time Trial Suspension Question
Hi all. I'm new to road racing and currently setting my Crx up for local EMRA time trials. I have been reading a lot of threads about suspension setups and such for Crx. I've found that the koni race ground control custom setup works well. However I've also noticed that a lot of these setups are for autox. Typically a fwd autox car has stiffer rear sway bars and different spring rates. The main question I have is what is an ideal spring rate combo for a Crx. My setup as of now is as follows.
1991 Crx DX.
B20b turbo.
Full interior
Est weight with driver: 1900lbs
Unknown corner weights ATM.
Front:
Integra front knuckles.
Wilwood brake kit.
Buddy Club Extended ball joints.
Skunk2 upper control arms.
New OEM lower control arms.
Innovative Traction bar.
Megan Inverted tie rod ends.
Progress 22mm sway bar.
Progress end links.
Rear:
Integra rear disc swap.
Hardrace upper control arms.
HardRace toe arms.
Blox trailing arm bearings.
Skunk2 lower control arms.
Asr subframe brace.
Whiteline 22mm sway bar.
Blox spherical end links.
Koni race yellow shocks.
Tein Pillowball hats.
I'm only stuck on spring rates ATM. I'm going for a neutral setup to begin with so I can tailor the car to my driving style. I've found that off the shelf GC kits are too soft even for a car this light. Again I'm kind of new to suspension tuning so any suggestions are welcome. Before I tore the car apart and replaced all the suspension it handled horribly. Understeer under power and lots of lift oversteer. Very sloppy.
Thanks all.
