BrakeExpert's Brake Chart Thread - Civic Brake Upgrades for EF, EG, EK and Integras

Re: BrakeExpert's Brake Chart Thread - Civic Brake Upgrades for EF, EG, EK and Integr
IIRC, the Legend dual piston caliper actually has LESS total piston area than the single piston in the ITR caliper. Only reason for getting the Legend caliper would be for "modulation" and possibly better pad wear characteristics. Otherwise, technically the ITR caliper has more braking force.

Haha what's up Mike! Yeah, it's been a while. After the civic got broken into, salvaged and sold I lost interest in the forums. I JUST recently started posting again, but it's been at least a year or two.

Re: BrakeExpert's Brake Chart Thread - Civic Brake Upgrades for EF, EG, EK and Integr
Quick question, has anyone ran into the problem with the 17CL15VN ITR caliper/piston being a 54MM instead of a 57MM? I'm trying to find a rebuild kit for the caliper, now I'm stuck..any suggestions?

Integra 57mm = 2551.8mm/sq
Legend 38/43mm = 2586.3mm/sq
Perhaps you're thinking of NSX calipers.
NA2 34/40mm = 2196.2mm/sq
NA1 36/40mm = 2306.1mm/sq

Re: BrakeExpert's Brake Chart Thread - Civic Brake Upgrades for EF, EG, EK and Integr
I was reading through the post to try and figure out if DC rear discs would fit on my Ek Ex or it i need to change some stuff out and this part throw me for a loop
"90-01 Integras (except the Type-R) and 88-00 Civics with rear disc brakes are all interchangeable onto any EK, EG, EF, DA, and DC Chassis."
I know I'm not the first person to ask it and yes i have looked around and found nothing that fits what im looking for mostly just drum to disc conversions
Can someone help

Re: BrakeExpert's Brake Chart Thread - Civic Brake Upgrades for EF, EG, EK and Integr
really? is it that hard to understand?
let me break it down for you....
"90-01 Integras (except the Type-R) and 88-00 Civics with rear disc brakes are all interchangeable onto any EK, EG, EF, DA, and DC Chassis."
90-01 = 1990, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 2000 integras AND/OR civics are ALL INTERCHANGEABLE
this means you can take rear disks off any integra OR civic that has them and they will work on ANY other civic OR integra in that year range.
how hard was that to understand?

Good day. Does anybody know if its ok to use 15cl calipers and pistons on a 17cl14vn brake
system? Its currently my set up and i'm worried it would cause trouble in the future.

Re: BrakeExpert's Brake Chart Thread - Civic Brake Upgrades for EF, EG, EK and Integr
ok so im planning to go with this setup,
03 acura cl front calipers/brackets/pads ands 96 prelude vtec rotors with centering rings.
now the question. ive read deep into your threads, one one of them states for this particular setup you need to grind 4.7mm off the mounting surface of the bracket where it bolts to the knuckle mounting tabs.
just trying to make sure i have the right information before i attempt this.

So I have a 95 Del Sol S and would like rear disk. Could i just take the rear set up of the SI and bolt it in with no mod needed?

go to an online honda parts dealer and in another tab an acura parts dealer. see if part numbers match. then post your results.

Re: BrakeExpert's Brake Chart Thread - Civic Brake Upgrades for EF, EG, EK and Integr
Any follow-up on the S2G60 set-up? You (BrakeExpert) had mentioned that there were some changes to the setup. I have the parts available to me to do this, just want some extra clarificaiton.
