Alignment Question
I drive a Honda Civic HB.
It has been lowered.
Recently, one of my front struts has died.
I want to replace it.
1. Do I need replace the front struts as a pair?
2. Is an alignment neccessary after strut installation?

Re: Alignment Question (TauMax)
generally when dampers are replaced, they are replaced in pairs...
if you notice any symptoms of poor alignment after replacing the strut, then yes perform an alignment... otherwise no alignment should be neccessary.

Re: Alignment Question (boro)
Just like I thought.
The garage guy at Pep Boys tried to BS me and say that by law they have to give me an alignment if I want them to install new struts.

Re: Alignment Question (boro)
Anyway, I'm going to do it myself.
I'm going to buy used GSR struts and a spring compressor.
Is there anything else I need?
I've heard that I need to buy the strut mounting bushing at the top.
Do I really need to replace this?
Any other consumables I need to buy, before I attempt to do it myself?
