oh ok, it will be my first swap. Yeah that sounds like an easy swap though just gatta lift and do a few things and drop. How much longer will you have the transmission, and will it fit a b20z? I might just go for that but im buying 1 thing at a time.

Why did yours come come out to $350? I just checked their price list, it says $199 engine complete or did I miss something?

I've never bought an engine from there but ik people that have and they charge for every little piece like the intake mani and stuff like that. which is technically part of the engine but when you want to buy a bare block to build or something they try to charge for a whole motor

And I'm going to start pulling my motor next week and prob only take me a day or two to get it out depends on how much I work on it..I like to take my time and not mess anyhtign up so my bay still looks factory and it will be ready to be yours after that..and yes I'm like 99% it's the samething. After I have this motor out it will be a fast build so if I still have the ls tranny when my motor is done it's going to go back in. I'm on a budget due to a kid on the way. So in order to buy a b16 tanny I need to sell my ls.

I don't know what you mean by edge but I have a feeling you won't find it from a b20. However they are great bang for the buck and plenty of power for daily driving.

The wiring could be different depending on what obd the motor is compared to the car. Adding vtec to a non vtec car will also mean changing some wiring. Other then that it should be the same. All the swaps I have done have been in ef's, do you have to hammer out the shock tower for clearance like you do it the ef?

I wouldn't trust any motor from there but if you do go for the cars that are totaled. The motor at least ran enough to put the car into a tree haha.

The transmission will work, any hydraulic b series transmission will work. The swap is fairly simple if you have some automotive knowledge but based on other posts you have made on this forum I am going to suggest getting someone to help you out with this.

I already have the vtec wiring. So i might just go that route. So here are the 2 i have narrowed this down to. Either a b16 or keep the d16 and turbo

I'm not going to post my opinion bc I'm a sohc hater..takes too much just just make the power a nonvtec b18 makes easier just to swap it and then do a turbo or something

I been out of the scene and I dont know of any but next one I se e I will hit u up! Robert its that time of year and I'm itching for a k-frank. There probably cheaper to build now right? So how much am I looking at with for 250+whp @ 505 elevation? There some nice $10,000+ rides for sale but if costs don't get to o crazy I rather build one.

Same here, the scene got dead, the hatch is actually for my little brother, we swapped the K I had into the CRX and I told him to keep it.

I test drove an Audi R8 in Cali in December. If this year oil gets up there, I might break the bank and add that car to my house loan!

The CRX is taking some abuse so we figured swapping the 5 lug and motor into an EG Hatch for Road race.

If it's not a b, k, or a j I don't want it...I would love to k swap my civic one day but it's not currently in my budget. My dream is to take the b I'm building to go in my eg and put it in a crx and k swap my hatch. Daily the rex and have the hatch to play int he weekends.

Turbo d16, I'm not a big fan of the b16. And for the price of everything you would need to go b series you could turbo the single and make more power.

I usually joke about single cams but for a simple turbo build I like them. They are way cheaper to do and way cheaper when you blow something up. Going for big power though b or better for sure.

Most people are stoked to do one k swap and you've got more k20s than hmotors haha. What's funny is I am selling my eg hatch but it is far far from New Mexico.

I feel like the scene has been picking up a lot in the past 6 months. Come out to the Tuesday meets when they start back up.

Oh, I was assuming you were in ABQ since you were asking about cars there. Never mind then, I wouldn't drive a long distance to go to the Tuesday meet its not that sweet haha. I looked at shipping my car when I moved back and that **** is super expensive

Hey everyone! I am just throwing a note that i will be selling my 95 del sol w the d16z6. Found out i'm having a kid and the sol just isn't big enough as you all know. Plus i fell in love with the 2012 subaru legacy w the boxter engine. So if interested hit me up, I'm trying to get $4500 for it, 122000 miles, headers, cold air, exhaust. Or hit me up for pics or to see the car. I'm here in albuquerque.

Congratulations or I'm sorry to hear that, depending on your outlook on having a kid haha. The Subaru seems like a nice upgrade. I've been considering getting one.
