CARB LEGAL SWAPS
Wassup guys I'm looking into swapping some b series into my eg although I'm curious if anyone has experience with the carb guidelines, such as jdm motors, are accepted in CA now? I really want a b18c gsr or itr jdm engine due to their easy accesability. Anyways thanks guys

Re: CARB LEGAL SWAPS
Not sure if JDM engines pass the ref or not, but they will pass smog. I have a JDM b16a and it passes smog with regular bolt-ons. Has for years. Not sure if this is the answer you're looking for. I thought the law was as long as the motor was the same year as the shell or newer, you're in good shape (but not k-swaps).
I'm sure someone on here will know all the details though.

Re: CARB LEGAL SWAPS
Not exactly although thanks for the input, we are trying to see If the engine is ok to swap legitimately, I heard that some of the components attatched to the engine have to be usdm. Who knows, Im waiting for a referee to get back to me on that. I leave an update as soon as I get the details.
