Wow, that graph looks really nice, especially considering it's a D series.

Gt378 on a stock d series to make only 2xx hp is soooooooo overkill. Has to be incredibly laggy for the power it makes.

Its a gt3076 and it is not that laggy, i have had worse and also i like lag haha. Overkill it the depends on what character you want u know, and it saves the engine and gearbox to not have so much power/nm on low rpms Rather big turbo with low boost then small turbo with high boost.

I agree with you on this. I used to have a ZC (blacktop d16a9) with a small turbo (IHI RHB5) in my CRX and it was a blast to drive through all the RPM's. So I was a little hesitant later when I put a .63/60 T3/T4 on my B16. I did not want all the lag but it still feels really good even between 2800-3500 normal driving. The gear ratio's are close enough on our little Honda's that it's easy to get into the boost when you need it.

to you it may not be "laggy". what hes saying is there are lots of better options at this power level. at this level GT3076 its not even in its efficiency zone. Contrary to popular belief you get better responsiveness at higher boost levels and a smaller turbo

to each their own. as long as YOU are happy with it. Still doesn't change the fact that it is far from optimal

^ I personally wouldn't go bigger than a td05h on a d-series, and a .63/60 on b-series for a daily vehicle. I didn't know how big the gt3076 was...

I was not aiming for an optimal build just a budget build for fun and i used the gt3076 because i got it cheap and it was an interesting experiment to see if it spooled at all. I drive alot of 201m races (1/8 mile?) and it has been good to not have boost on lower rpms for the grip actually. My goal was to beat my friends FK2 type-r (310hp) on 1/8 mile and it does so i am happy

Ok, my friend has a holset hx40 on his built b16a2 and it spools pretty well i think. Maybee i will try a smaller turbo next year to experience the difference

Less traction issues with a smaller turbo....just so you know

I have a turbo comparable to the gt3076, at 17PSI running a ITR transmission. My only traction issues are at higher RPMS in the 5-6K range no problems at all in the lower RPMS
