Got a 98 passport that has me stumped. It has the 3.2 v6 with individual coil packs . There is no spark to the driver side bank. It is running on cylinders 1, 3, and 5.

I have swapped the coils from one side to the other with the same problem, so it it definitely not the coils or plugs.

Passenger side fires fine with all six coils. All fuel injectors are working fine.
The hot wire to the coil has power, but don't think it is sending a firing signal.

The only code it is throwing is p0121 for the throttle position sensor, but why would this kill half the cylinders.

I'm leaning towards bad ecu but would really like some input.

In case anyone was wondering. The cam key on the driver side split in half causing the cam to rotate off timing. Thus it only running on 3 cylinders.

Thank you for coming back and providing the solution you found out it to be.

I sure hope it wasn't 4 years in figuring it out.

And I'm sorry you didn't get any response from anyone back in the day you were attempting to figure out the issue.
