Need to borrow a tow-vehicle (or a ride for my racecar) for Sept 18th Summit Weekend
Hiya all,
I am located in Richmond, Virginia and am trying to find someone who can let me borrow (or rent) a truck to tow my racecar (have a trailer) up to Summit for the 9/18 Nasa weekend.
Alternatively, If anyone has some trailer space I could throw my car in, that would be even better. Happy to pay it's way in gasmoney, beer, etc.
Took my truck apart to do some maintenance (water pump, etc.) and good old GM is dragging their feet getting me the parts I need.
Thanks ahead of time with anyone with ideas / leads
Phillip (ECHC #94)
P.S. Trying Penske, Uhaul, etc. but it's being tough to find something that won't be like $500....
Good 'ol GM has let me down and can't get parts to me in time....

Try contacting some of your local car dealerships that rent cars. When I looked, no typical rental car place would allow me to tow. I found out that some Ford dealerships rent pick-ups and do allow towing (rented w/ hitch and all necessary trailer wiring). The price was quite reasonable too!

if you can find one of the places that rents the newer blazers, some of them come with trailer hitches.. Enterprise is going to be your best bet.. just mention to them that you have a small travel/uhaul size trailer to tow maybe..?
