If I knew then what I know now.....eh, probably wouldn't have changed a damn thing.
I thought I was over nationals and I finally got this twitch to go away. But after reading the article, the twitch came back.
But seriously, great article. Most races are won and lost in the preparation. It looks like the car was prepared well and you had contingencies in place when stuff hits the fan (i.e. your tranny). Congrats again on your victory and thanks for sharing....champ.

Back on topic sorry about that.
Edit*** I like the bumper support extensions.. SMART!!!!! Is your splitter from SPMS or AfterHours? If its not a SPMS what is the blade made out of?

Re: My Nationals magazine article thingy
Yes it is a battery box, It puts the weight REALLY low in the right rear. On high speed tracks i use a 42lb RV battery. It keeps the rear weighted in a way that gives me grip by keeping the chassis level,,, but in the real high speed acts like a pendulum and helps the car rotate ( as its behind the center of gravity ,,, and rear wheel )
At miller i used a 11lb Braille knockoff. ( BigCrank YO )
That hood vent is pretty Bauler,, luckily my sponsor makes it. I think he gets like 300$ for the vent and 400$ installed . If interested contact Brian Kono at Afterhoursautomotive.com
Im sure something simple/effective could be made for much less. Especially an HVAC fabricator. But it does look pretty cool
The splitter is a Special Projects KIWI part that has seen like 1 1/2 seasons of pure terror!!!!!! I dont think Jeff ever intended for that splitter to last that long but it has!!!! The blade is just his basic material. I had to trim it at the track to ensure i was in compliance with the rules , it usually looks a little better . Mine was a first generation one so the shape was not perfect with the outline of the bumper. The new ones are pretty close to perfect .

Oil plug in the back of the block closing off the crankcase breather blew out entering T1. It was quick hands saving it!
So glad Renan got that girl all worked out!
Congrats again Renan! You worked for it!
