Default External Reservoirs: Mounting options

I'm trying to figure some mounting positions for the reservoirs. If possible I'd like to mount them within the wheel wells instead of getting a hole saw and cutting into the inner panels to mount them in the engine bay/trunk

Picture for reference:

What shocks are those? As to your question, one of the problems I foresee mounting them inside the wheelwell is the extra line (from reservoir to shock body) getting in the way of the wheel. Given that they look like stainless braided line, they'll eat through the tire and anything else they touch REALLY quickly.

Yeah, they're steel braided lines. I looked around for places to put brackets, and I'm gonna pull the fender liners out and possibly mount them either on the frame rail or towards the door. As for the rear, I may mount them in the void between the bumper and the sheet metal underneath.

Motons have compressed gts and you can't take the hose off to reroute for smaller holes. I read that on another website.

I'd suggest a hole saw, but I'm confident you could keep that line off the tire if you leave 'em in the wheel well.

Here's a better pic. Oh, and I already have the brackets to mount them, just looking for spots.

Yeah my friend did that on his s2000, and it came out decently, but I checked around in my trunk and the sheet metal is different. I'm also just hesitant because it's not like I can un-drill the holes...

So, Moton Clubsports or something? I thought M-word stuff was always orange

Is there a reason people go through the trouble of drilling giant holes? Seems like there must be, given that every friggin' car I've seen with external reservoirs has done that.

Nah, not Motons. My friend's got a company that's coming out and I got all of his products beforehand. I'm a tester, so to say.

look an awful lot like a zeal variant. I'm sure you can find good, safe places to mount them without drilling big holes in the body.

x2 on the zeal's especially with that triangular sticker. Mount them to the frame and secure the line out of the way with cushion clamps

To make your life easier you will need to mount the reservoirs where they are easily accessible to add nitrogen and to tune, assuming there is an adjustment **** on them.

Placing them in the wheel wells is asking for trouble IMO. It took me 2 weeks to determine the best way to mount mine... couldn't get away from the need to drill holes in the trunk. Managed to mount the fronts by running the line under the front frame rail and up to the top of the shock towers

The car looks pretty tucked in the front. Did you ever think about the suspension compressing while turning or even going over berms?

I lifted it up about an inch in front. gonna go about a half inch more soon. there's plenty of slack for movement, but it's still in a spot that's tucked away out of moving parts
