Default EM1 wheel question

Hi, I'm planning on changing the stock wheels on my 99 EM1 and I would like to know if I could fit 15" Rota Slipstreams with 7.5" width and 225 tires without any rubbing issues, i'm planing on lowering just .75" on H&R OE springs, the available offsets on this wheels are +20,+30 and +40 please let me know your suggestions.

Thanks!

i run 7.5 +40s in the front with 225s. i have lowered considerably more and i rub on the inside. you might get away with +30s in the front depending on camber but we are also comparing two different chassis so the "ek" guys will have better input.

in the rear i did have rubbing issues with a 7 +40 205/50 but once i rolled the quarterpanel i was good. my camber was set at -1.5* but once again the "ek" rear might allow more wheel/tire.

I have the same car on 225/45/15 my wheels are a +32 offset, you will have to roll the fenders. I pulled mine a little in the front and removed the inner fender liner and I also run a -2.0 camber. With that set up I'm fine. When i first test fitted them they did rub especially under load.

What tires are you using and what exactly are you doing with the car?

You want to stuff a large tire/wheel package on your car just for "spirited driving"? Seems like you posted in the wrong forum.

However, your OEM wheels + a tire with good grip (in 195/55/15 or 205/50/15 size) should get you what you are looking for. Don't buy crappy tires, period.
