Plans had changed from the time i repainted the bay, to the time i got the motor in. Didnt plan on being low enough to punch strut towers with ball joints anymore, but in the end I actually went lower than i was before.

So needless to say, i fixed the strut towers up all nice and clean when i shaved/painted the bay, then about 4 months after figured out i was changing directions and this is my compromise.

Instead of re-painting the whole damn bay to fix the strut towers, and raise them. I decided to cut holes... it doesnt look as clean, but its functional, and my car's not a show car so i'm not too worried about it lol

Looks good but next time a easier way i found of covering the spark plug holes was to use 2 liter soda caps and it covers it up and no paint enters and looks great like i did here

Easy is relative. I think taking some masking tape and just running it around the outside of the spark plug tunnel is cleaner IMO.

Just finished this today. My first try. Came out better then i expected. Pictures are crappy from my phone, doesn't do the cover justice. Theres a good amount of gloss on the cover that the pictures dont show.
Two different types of gold on the cover, one darker with pearls, and one flat light gold. wataya think?

Started my new project valve cover. K20A3...

Sanded off the Honda Stamping, i like a clean canvas for new artwork
Hand sanded with 320. Cleaned in a solvent tank multiple time, brake cleaned, prep solved, and masked off.

Painted with Self etching primer (2 coats)
