Default 1st time painting rims

pics dont do justice but the rims came out looking badass

1st i took them off the car
2nd I washed them with water soap degreaser
3rd dried and rub them done with rubing alcohol 2 remove what ever grease oil or crap so i dont clog up sand paper
4th i sand all the dented and rough spots with 80 grit not the whole rim
5th I primed with high build to even out all the spots i sanded with 80 to get smooth only spots not whole rim
6th I wet sanded the whole rim with 220 then 400
7th I let drie then I taped off areas like the tire that I did not want painted
8th I went advance auto and purchased a dark metallic gray rim paint and clear coat
9th I gave it like 2 light coats then 1 wet coat of base then 2 coats of clear
I waited 10 mins between coats Then left it out 2 drie for 24 hours

The reason I painted the rims is because for now I rather put the money for buying new ones into the motor and tuning hardware instead, also because the shop that painted the car got paint n primer all over them, and for a diy project i mean if it turned out good why not

but after all the hard work and getting high off fumes the rim shop told me the rims cant b balanced cause they r bent, o well i still enjoyed painting them

ill post up more pics later of other rims imma paint

they put weights on the inside of the rim so at high speeds they dont hop up and down due to the rims being heavy on one side

lol so it dont have no weird vibration or weird tire wear, balance it all for comfort i suggest alloy 2 balance ftw!!!! forget static balance also make sure it dont get zero'd out, make sure they get it .20 and below at work i will not allow my tire/rim to leave if it is not balance rite!!!!

im sure u did all rims get balanced when they get new tires cause tires could b off too and balancing corrects this

they put it on this machine that simulates high speed revolutions and it has sensors that detect un equal weight and tellthe tech where to add weight to balance the wheel
