Photoshoot with M3 and IS-F
My friend Will and I decided to do a small photoshoot today locally....which ended up not-so-locally in Atlantic City. I haven't seen him in a couple of years, and since he recently purchased a Lexus IS-F we figured it was a good idea to get together and snap some pics.
He took me for a ride, and it was pretty awesome. When the rpms hit a certain point, something changed with the intake (and possibly exhaust) and the car sounded very mean and throaty. Much nicer than an OEM M3 in my opinion. His car was the automatic with paddle shifters. It had a rear view camera and some other nifty gadgets. The interior was pretty sparse, but everything you needed was right within reach. Rear seat room was more than the M3 coupe. Seats were a little tigher and hugged you. I could imagine a larger fellow would not be too comfortable.
Anyway, on to the pics! These were snapped by a Canon 7D and either 24-70mm f/2.8L or Sigma 10-20mm. The cloudy/rainy weather caused quite a few shots not to turn out that well, but I tried to make the best of it. Enjoy!
3 piston brakes I think. I don't know too much about the car.
Might be a couple of similar pics posted, since I'm also trying to learn about my camera. The more I use it, the better I get. Same with editing/Photoshop.
Couldn't get the colors right in this one, so I made it black and white. Turned out quite well I think.
My CF roof.
Some random fun with Photoshop.
Hope you enjoyed!

Re: Photoshoot with M3 and IS-F
Good question! We wanted to do more runs, but it was either rain, traffic, or just not safe in general. Too bad the only one we got on video was the one with me losing haha.
All the videos online and magazine numbers put the cars pretty much even. My car has less torque, is lighter. His car is heavier, and more torque. HP is just about even at 4.0L 414hp vs. 5.0L 416hp.

If you dont mind me asking, what do you guys do for a living? Just wondering as you both seem to be in your mid-20's with some expensive vehicles.
Both cars look great, stock form and clean. : )

Thanks Actually, we are blessed with the Asian gene. I will look like this until I'm 75 When I turn 76, I will look like I'm 120. I'm 31 and my friend I think is 29 or something. I'm a marketing analyst/vendor manager for Vonage. My friend works for some software development company (I think it's the one that makes Warcraft).
