Re: (bluebird)
Yeah right now im weighing out the odds and ends. My KA supposedly has a built bottom end, havent taken the time to check. But for the price of a turbo setup I like id be spending about the same as an SR20 I believe, and I dont want over 320whp. So it doesnt really matter which road I take except for the fact that an OEM sr20 sounds more reliable than a built engine that I dont know how/who built it.

My redtop made 303whp with the S15 turbo but its pretty much maxed out...... I need a bigger turbo

Re: (bluebird)
For the most part the car isnt going to see the power that warrants a built bottom end anyways.
The car is just going to be for track days/auto-x. It would also help because IIRC the sr20 is lighter/revs higher as well.
Itll also give me a chance to pull the engine and get used to doing it.

False .
A long stroke doesnt destroy rings heat does.
Heat loading from several causes can do this, a KA24DE has a BETTER rod stroke ratio than an SR20 so minor and major thrust is less.

What, black and gold only looks good on Honda's? Looks hella better then the wheels in stock form if you ask me.

Yeah, I hate it! I am running a harness bar and 4pt harness in my S13 till I get a cage in there. You can do the S14 belts but you cannot put the rear interior panel back in and it looks like *** w/o it IMO.

Thats how it came but I do like it. It works for subarus so I think it works here I actually thought about re-finishing them in a "time attack" black/red finish. I'm too broke for wheels at the moment. Just trying to resolve my idle dropping when I brake. Had to take it to a shop since my thumb is too jacked up to mess with removing/cleaning the IAVC. It was my last suspicion.

The KA24DE is the stock engine for 1991 to 1997 S13 and S14 240SX vehicles. It is a 2.4 Liter DOHC Engine. Bore × Stroke: 89.0 × 96.0 mm; Max power: 155 hp
The SR20DET is part of the SR family of engines from Nissan. ... 16 Valves, Chain driven cam sprockets; Bore x Stroke of 86 mm x 86 mm; Displacement of 1998
how are they the same again?????
