DxHatchback's Build Thread
Pictures from the night I took delivery:
Pictures aren't the best, as I shot during mid-day (big no no) and shot in the middle of the woods.
I need to take better pictures at sundown some day.
Daily driver that I've owned 8 years...
Dealership sticker & PA temporary registration sticker removed

Kind of hard to have already started when I've only owned the car two days.

for the auto tranny... forgot the name of the gearbox but it's a dual clutch get up that clutches the flywheel for each gear change or something like that, pretty complex set up.

If they had a manual 6 speed, believe me, I would have bought it.
DSG is nothing short of amazing though.

Re: DxHatchback's Build Thread (DxHatchback)
Just ordered two cool parts:
Euro .:R32 Chrome headlight switch
Gewerkschaft der Polizei sticker:
"All of the hooligan German drivers are sporting this sticker to gain some mercy with the Polizei when they are pulled over. The literal translation is "trade union of police" and is the German equivalent of "We support our local (Sherrif/Police) office."

Re: DxHatchback's Build Thread (Optiks.)
Is there such thing as a flapper mod for the new R32s? i borrowed an 04 for a week and i loved every single moment.I should have bought one instead of my tsx but was afraid that the vw would not be reliable.I remember always trying to get to that magical rpm where the cars exhaust note would change.Have fun with it man really wish i had a chance to drive my friends new 32 but someone hit him

I believe so, but I think most people just cut the resonator out of the oem pipe and run a straight pipe through it.
I feel you on the reliability thing, but I have never really ran any of my cars hard and I do not plan on doing any racing. Hopefully it holds up for me.

Re: DxHatchback's Build Thread (DxHatchback)
24v VR6 engines are super stout, and tend not to carry the normal VW reliability issues everyone thinks of. Amazing purchase, impressive in stock form

Very re-affirming, thanks! I was a little worried after owning a Honda for 8 years and only ever having to install spark plug wires over those 8 years.
I love the VW, but want to order a cat-back ASAP.

Thanks! It's funny you mention your GTI because I actually wanted an '08 Candy White GTI w/ sunroof and navi, but couldn't find one, so I ended up with the R32.

Thanks, I really appreciate your kind words.
It feels nice to shoot again, for sure. My camera just sat in my closet for months.
