Default Odyssey vs. Sienna

Looking to get a van within next few months. I've drove sienna's before and liked it. Never drove Odyssey's.
Any of Odyssey owner debated from getting either the sienna or odyssey?
Looking forward to 2017 model as well.

I think the Odyssey is an all around better van, but the Sienna has a better engine. The Odyssey has more creature comforts and amenities than the Sienna as well as a much higher resale value.

When weighing the pros and cons, you come up with this.

Sienna Pros:

Better engine

Cons:

Everything else

My friend test drove a Sienna, Odyssey, and T&C (not sure which trim levels though). She liked the Odyssey the best. Said the Sienna had the worst handling of the three and she bought the T&C because she couldn't afford the other two when optioned out the way she wanted. She also liked the flat floor when the seats were folded in.

Do to work travel, I spend a ton of time in rental minivans, I drive to the airport in an Odyssey pool car every week, and I can say without hesitation that if I had to buy a minivan the Odyssey is the only one I could drive every day.

IMHO, the only reason you get a Sienna is if you really want AWD. The new "Pacifica" from Chrysler is pretty compelling but I would worry about reliability and resale.

The rumor mill is saying that the Odyssey might get AWD soon, but IDK about that because the Odyssey's rear suspension is REALLY basic and old school, so a lot of engineering will have to be done to get it AWD.

Oh, while I'm in here, I'll list three more cons for the Odyssey:

1. It's ugly as sin. You can't deny that the Odyssey is one ugly van. I like my Odyssey, but it sure is ugly.
2. Suspension is ***.
3. Motor mounts always seem to fail on every V6 Odyssey ever made.

One benefit of it being so ugly is that I am never overly concerned about washing it! Saves a ton of money, lol

I love the odyssey, have to get the touring package when the time comes. Although the wife does favor the Quest, I try to sway her towards Honda all day lol
