Re: Odyssey Build: JDM StyleWagon Content
Flipped the motor and pulled the oil pump, oil bridge etc. to add on the KS Tuned balance shaft eliminator kit. The kit fits really well and looks awesome.
I also replaced all of the oil pump seals, crank seal, and waterpump.
water pump in/out
bottom end torn down for the bs removal
KS Tuned BS kit installed! Thanks KS Tuned!

Re: Odyssey Build: JDM StyleWagon Content
Had some issues getting the AEM Fuel Rail to fit this JDM intake manifold but we eventually solved the issue. Not too many JDM H23As running an AEM Rail that I could find online...
Installed the AEM Adjustable Regulator, and added a B&M Pressure Gauge so we can tune it when its running. For kicks, we're also doing the allen bolts on the manifold plenum, thermal intake manifold gasket, thermal throttle body gasket + port-matching the plenum to 70mm for the Skunk2 Alpha throttle body (and allen bolts for that as well...) These small details should provide a nice 10-12WHP bump over stock...

Re: Odyssey Build: JDM StyleWagon Content
With the help of a few friends, we pulled the motor out in a quick 2.5 hours, and started planning out the wire tuck & shave.
We had a bit of time today to start pulling the wire harnesses, mapping out which ones to extend / re-route, and brackets we'll have to fab. Once all the wiring is done, I can weld up all the extra holes and prep it for repaint.
Quite possibly the first Odyssey with a wire tucked/shaved engine bay?
Old motor is out!
Full wire tuck! No wires, No Fusebox, No Abs Fusebox, no more clutter!

Paint is on! Once its cure I can get it wetsanded & polished...
All in all, about 100 +/- holes were deleted, all seams were welded + smoothed out for a clean look
Check out that smooth pearly finish

And new wheels came in today from my newest sponsor, Rohana Wheels!
These are the RC10 Rohana Luxury Wheels - 20x9 & 20x10 with Black / Machine Finish
Now just need to play with some camber and tire sizes for a perfect fitment.

looking great...ive been watching this build for along time...
pull the screws out of the alpha tb butterfly and lock tite them. if you do some searching online you will see several people had problems with that comming loose and getting sucked into the motor.

A FEW pictures I took from SEMA SHOW 2012, and the VIP Car Festival in San Diego, CA...
New Wheels from Rohana - 20" Staggered - Cusco Camber Arms / Cusco Toe Arms
and some shots of the freshly built H23A DOHC VTEC (Blue Top) engine w/ custom mounts. The engine bay is fully tucked & shaved. Just waiting on a few fittings to finish up the power steering & a/c systems.

Re: Odyssey Build: JDM StyleWagon Content
Do you feel like the grill's edges do not flow with the body lines of the hood/side-panel and aftermarket bumper? I mean specifically, the angle of the grill hints at a more aggressive/sharper body style.
Instead, I see the grill's final bar (on the bottom) dipping it's center apex into the front-end which looks really awkward. It feels non-committal.
The grill simply doesn't fit the rest of the body lines. Just from my design-eye, I would recommend changing the grill to suit the contours of the rest of the body for a fitted and polished look.
