2016 Pilot Maintenance Schedule
I have a 2016 Pilot Touring ordered and waiting for delivery.
I found & downloaded the oper manual and started reviewing it...
I don't see any maintenance schedule and wondering has Honda eliminated it from the printed manual and made owners rely on the sensors / warnings?
If so, Has anyone found / developed a hard copy of what's programmed?
I'd like to know what's coming to maybe do some of the items ahead of starting an extended trip or going into a winter season etc.

Honda had been using the MM (Maintenance Minder) since 2006 or so. It will alert you to upcoming maintenance when it hits 15% oil life remaining. For me, that works out to about 1000 miles before the maintenance is due (oci's at 6500-7000 miles).
Honda groups maintenance around oil change intervals (oci) for the sake of convenience. There are typically A and B codes with numeric subcodes (1-6) which indicate various other items to be done along with the oil change.
If you reset the MM, the system assumes you did all the specified maintenance and will not alert you for those specific items until the next time they are due. Make sure you make a note of those items if you don't do them all at the same time before you reset the MM.
This assumes Honda had not changed the MM system since its inception. This is the way it works on my 2006 and 2008 Hondas.
Let me add that the MM will normally make those subcode callouts at the oci prior to reaching the limit. For instance, if you have a 4wd Pilot, the VTM-4 fluid (rear diff) needs to have the first change at 15k miles. If you are getting 6500 mile oci's, expect the -6 callout for the rear diff at the oci at 13,000 miles.

Thanks - both my current Honda's are 2005 and old school w/ paper schedules.
I was wondering if the new digital schedules were any / much different.
I still find it hard to believe that Honda doesn't recommend changing filter w/ every oil change but I guess it must be based on some reasonable testing.

Me too. So I ignore that and change the filter anyway.
We had a 2004 Pilot that had the normal service schedules in the OM. Then we got the 2006 Pilot (first year of the MM) and it threw me for a loop. I finally adjusted to the MM when I got a 2008 Ridgeline.
That being said, I only use the MM for oil and filter changes and for VTM-4 and transfer assembly hypoid gear oil changes. I do tranny fluid changes every other oil change and normally do tire rotations and brake slider pin checks every OCI. I also do my own schedule on power steering fluid and coolant. I do use the 3 year-ish time frame for brake fluid flushes.
Fortunately, I keep a notebook of all my work so I can go back and review and make sure that whatever alert I'm getting I either have already done or actually need to do. I guess I complicated what should be a simple system. (my specialty)
BTW, the transfer assembly is different from 2006 and up on the Pilot. For 2003-2005, the TA used tranny fluid for lubrication. Beginning in 2006, Honda separated the TA from the tranny and it now uses hypoid gear oil for lubrication (GL4 or GL5, 80w-90)

here is the schedule i tell all of my customers to follow regardless of what the mm says
oil/filter every 5k
rotate every other oil change
filters/rear diff every 15k
trans and tcase every 30k
coolant every 50k
plugs/ valve adjustment/ t-belt 100k
nice and easy to follow and keep track of
