2003 Odyssey TIMING BELT BROKE
Well maintained, timing belt service @ 105k miles, every service record since new....mechanic said two rods bent. What should I do? Honda installed new transmission in April 2010. Mint condition ex-L that has never been in accident. HELP! I was thinking about getting new motor from NOYEN in Manassas and installing it, but know anyone that can do it cheaper than Jasper?????Please help! Thanks!

noyan is gone sir....
theres a few options you have...i would just yank the heads off of em hand lap the valves that are bent in them and throw it back together with new top end gasket kits and let it eat.
where do you service the car? who told you rods were bent?? i would suspect bent valves over rods and that does NOT make a motor junk lol
also stray away form jasper have not had good luck with their honda reman stuff. as for finding a good longblock if you want one sounds like your local in Va use All Foriegn have had nothing but good dealings with them i deal with snake or tiny when i call, if you want a jdm motor JEI, Jspec auto, and Nagano are all local around ranging from richmond to sterling virginia.
You want a second opinion on the car come see me at honda tysons corner

Re: 2003 Odyssey TIMING BELT BROKE
unfortunatly it would have to be done through the shop as i don't have the means to do it at home and side jobs are a no no here, pull the heads off tear em down lap the valves in it needs and reassemble it with two new head sets would be about 18 hours of labor plus whatever parts it would need valve wise and such i would safely say around 2400 through the shop i'm sorry i can't do more really but like i said side jobs are a no no around here.
