2002 Honda Odyssey Brake Recommendation
Hello,
I have a 2002 Honda Odyssey with 155kmi.
I had my brakes done perhaps two years ago with OEM brakes.
My wife is complaining of brake fade, take longer to stop. I am going to inspect to see how the brakes are. They maybe due for replacement.
I drove the van and it simply does not feel like the initial bite is as it used to be it is safe but perhaps due for replacement. We put perhaps 18kmi a year on the van.
I would like to know if you have tried other brakes than OEM and would recommend perhaps an upgrade?
During the summer I run accord wheels which get dirtier because they do not cover the rotors as much as the stock rims. I was considering perhaps some PFC pads or pads from tire rack.
Please let me know if you have any experience and your feedback.
Much appreciate it!
Regards,
Loay

Re: 2002 Honda Odyssey Brake Recommendation
I replaced my Pads with Wagner Ceramic and a new set of rotors and its been fine for 2 years.. she puts alot of miles on our odd too. The only thing i noticed with the brakes is that the caliper pins seize and would cause brake fade or a soft pedal.

I recommend Hawk HPS pads with brembo blanks. They are good pads, but expact more brake dust then OEM pads. and Since it bites better, the rotor's life will be less compare with OEM pads. It squeaks once in a while, which is normal for performance pads. I have these setup on my odyssey and RSX, and loved it.
