03 pilot 60k major tune
so my pilot is coming up on 60k and i'm going to do the major tune myself. what else do i need to do besides the following?
change tranny/rear dif. fluid
change brake fluid
change oil/filter
change air filter
change cabin filter
change washer fluid
rotate tires
check/change brake pads and rotors if needed
adjust parking brake
inspect everything
i've read in the manual that spark plugs don't need to be change until 105k, but should i change these anyway or let them go to 105k? Also, when do the coil packs need to be changed?
same thing with the coolant, every 10 years or 120k, but should i change this anyway? i'm more worried about the thermostat dying than the actual coolant, so when should the thermostat be changed?
thanks for your help!

60k service:
1. Oil and filter change
2. Transmission service
3. VTM service
4. Replace Air filter
5. Replace wiper inserts
7. Rotate Tires front to back, set tire pressures to spec.
8. Flush and Bleed brake fluid as needed if dark and or discolored
9. Replace A/C filter
Spark plugs and valve Adjustment at 100k
Timming belt and water pump should be replaced at 70-100k.

Re: 03 pilot 60k major tune (nukem384)
I have never seen a Pilot timing belt go before 110k. Fluids and filters would be all I would replace. Im in upstate NY so we service the brakes as well..... salt and rust :-)
Would do the plugs, t-belt and water pump at 105k
Coils should be replaced when/if they go bad.

anybody know where the drain plug is on the back of the engine for the coolant? A picture would be really helpful. Is it in between the head and the exhaust manifold?

tbelt and water pump 105k. Spark plugs are platinum and replaced at 105k. Coil packs are not a service interval item. They last a very long time. Only change if they fail. They are very expensive. Change coolant when you change water pump with timing belt. All other items you listed are fine. Also. I recommend cleaning the rear AC screen. It is located behind a panel on the left side of the center console. The panel is about two feet long and about eight inches tall. Part of it is between the center console and the drivers seat. The other end of it is at the drivers right foot. It is a round screen about six/eight inches in diameter. This screen gets plugged and will cause a reduction in the volume of air entering the blower for the rear AC. This causes the rear AC transistor ( located in the air stream )to overheat and fail. The diagnosis is usually and hour and the part isn't cheap either. I'm suprised honda did not make a service interval for this screen.

Re: 03 pilot 60k major tune (northkai3)
Sorry to bump a old post.
^^^Is this AC filter the cabin filter?
Also, the tune up seems very basic until timing change at 105K. But I did not see any post regarding a fuel filter. I could not find one on HondaAutomotiveParts.com either.
Does anyone know if there is a filter? This is for a friends car so I do not have the car in front of me. I'm just trying to buy some parts online. Any information would help. Thanks

Re: 03 pilot 60k major tune
There is a fuel filter, but there is no maintenence interval for it. Its really just a screen, almost there just for show. If you make it to 300k, maybe consider it then..
