considering the ef is @ 25 years old car it can't cost more then someone building an dc/eg/ek.

Man that would've been a shame if you sold it. It wouldn't be the same if someone else owned it.

Nice pick-up on that coupe, k20rex. Those wheels actually work on that car.

That's a pretty big misconception. An older car will most likely have more parts that need to be replaced if you'd like to do it right, that's what happens with an aged vehicle. Parts are also increasingly difficult to find compared to a car from 96-00, 94-01, etc. which ends up costing more as well. In order to build a well done EF chassis, it would easily cost the same, if not more than a newer gen.

Ex: My buddy Chris who's doing a full restoration on a '90 Si Civic has spent about $15k so far to make every part perfect, he's been working on it for 3 years and isn't finished. A lot of the money spent was on replacement OEM parts, all new bushings, fixing all the issues that older cars have. I have a 1998 Civic Coupe and have never/will not spend nearly that much, especially not on fixing issues, bc my car has far less of them.

Haha Ya i've been driving the blue 4wd Civic wagon lately, but i'll be using the green coupe more again. I haven't driven it in a while! It's been sitting at home on steelies getting some work done, and I finally got the TE37s finished and mounted.

Spending $15,000 on an EF?

He could have used that money to buy an Evo or a nicer car.

I guess beauty is really in the eye of the beholder.

Exactly, he's doing it for himself BC he loves doing it, and it's what he wants to do. He another vehicle, so it's not an issue of buying a "nicer" car.

In reality $15k isn't much considering a restoration, just to powdercoat a bunch of suspension components adds up extremely fast. OEM parts for older cars cost serious $$$. My Dad spent far more than that on his Camaro, that's not even close to what was spent on his engine setup alone haha.

Nice, should get together sometime for taco night with the 2020 guys or something. My NSX is gone so will be back full swing with the Volvo dropping jaws again this summer with my new Fikse wheels

I can vouch for the EF restoration, it is beyond what most consider a build... its to the point where a muscle car guy pull a shitbox out of a field and builds it from ground up. If honda is your passion I dont see a difference.

All those chevelle owners could have bought a Ferrari for the price they pay to restore their cars... all a matter of opinion and preference.

There really are some people that love Honda's which is totally cool in my book

^^Exactly. That's part of the reason it's also taken so long. It takes so damn long to find anything But I love them.

ForceFed, nice when did it sell? I've always liked the Volvo, that's gonna look so nice with the wheels. When do they have taco night action? I haven't been by 2020 in forever.

Guy looked at it friday and am waiting for him to come pick it up this week. Problem has been weather, hes afraid to drive it back in the rain/snow lol.

Volvo should turn out sweet, extreme, but to my liking haha.

Seems like its random lately but usually saturdays when the gang can get together. I havent been in awhile since things have been hectic lately.
