The black stuff inside the **** is stud marks from the CNC machine, the manufactuer had to drill / tap in to make the pattern so you can screw on the ****. It has never been used. We don't sell used parts.
If you're not satified, you can return the **** and get your money back (less the shipping we already paid) or exchange for another **** with a perfect packaging box.

its all good, not such a big deal. for everyone wondering, the **** looks and feels great and i think the sphere shape is the overall best design for a shift ****. the size could be a tiny bit bigger but overall its a pretty cool shift ****. the shippin was quick too. f1spec

I totally know how you feel. I havent heard much other than that it is a tad bit small, which I am not too concerned about, I got pretty small hands. Weight wise it is light so you dont have that inertia helping you out when you shift such as in a skunk2 weighted shifter, but I got tired of that when I had it on my car, so I figure a lightweight one such as this will work great. Check out the first page of this post, theres some pictures of it installed. Im just hoping it doesnt develop any cracks or anything, if it is good aluminum, it should hold up great.
