4300K would be the most legal and ideal lighting.

Good stuff! I swapped in a set of BMW Hid projectors into my EK headlights. Perfect, the lighting is amazing. And have never been flashed by anyone.

I was always wondering about the yellow lights being best driving light. I knew it was just a myth.

So, to use HID's legally, you need a housing meant for HID's correct?

You need a vehicle equipped with HID's from the factory.

Grey areas are getting the JDM/EDM HID headlights for say, an EP3, a DC5, or even a B6 Audi A4, and putting them on said vehicles.
